Sailing week for adults
Sail with us and join in the celebrations of the Channel Islands Heritage Festival in May 2018. We are offering adults a 6 night voyage on our 72ft Pilot Cutter Pegasus, at a cost of £695 per person. Embark 4pm Sunday 6 May in Plymouth, and disembark Plymouth 12 noon on Saturday 12 May.
Pegasus is the youngest vessel in our fleet, based on the designs of the famous Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters. Designed by Ed Burnett and built by The Bristol Classic Boat Co on Redcliffe Wharf, Bristol by the Rolt brothers, she was launched in 2008. Pegasus has 10 guest berths.
The planned itinerary is to explore the Channel Islands, visiting smaller islands such as Sark and Alderney, and mooring up in St Peter Port to join in Guernsey’s Liberation Day festivities and fireworks on the 9th. The voyage involves two cross channel passages, and may involve night sailing where you can get involved and help keep watch – on a clear night the night sky is simply amazing.
This is a great voyage for both experienced and novice sailors, and a great introduction to traditional sailing for those who have never sailed before. It is a perfect week for those of you wanting to build your miles. A keen beginner with a sense of adventure and a realistic view of the experience onboard should quickly find their sea legs. You will participate in every aspect of life onboard, under the full instruction of our professional sailing staff, and will be a vital member of the crew.
Pegasus is well equipped, and use of waterproofs, safety equipment, and all food and refreshments onboard is included – we firmly believe in good, nutritious and plentiful food. There are toilets, a galley and comfortable seating and berths below deck.
Travel insurance will be required.
Photographic ID is required when visiting the Channel Islands. We will inform you beforehand if a Passport is needed for your voyage.
