Fundraising Dinner Thursday 23 November 2017

The Royal Thames Yacht Club, London

Fundraising Dinner Thursday 23 November 2017

Please join us at The Royal Thames Yacht Club, London and help us to raise funds in support of enabling deserving young people to experience the joy and challenge of learning to sail. 2016 proved to be a busy year for The Island Trust, with over 600 young people sailing with us, many of them disadvantaged/disabled. We now look forward to 2017 and our bookings are already very healthy. As always, the biggest barrier to us supporting even more people is finance. The cost of running the charity and maintaining the boats is considerable. Most of our client group could not contemplate the full cost of a voyage, so our bursaries are in much demand and our boats are subject to much wear and tear. We are proud of the fact that we have never turned a deserving young sailor away on grounds of their inability to find the full funds.

It promises to be a great night, with much fun and sparkle, as well as a cracking auction of a whole manner of things! To find out more about the event, or to book tickets, telephone 01752 823007, email info@theislandtrust.org.uk, or complete and submit the contact form at the foot of the page.
