Teenage sailing weeks
Voyages for individual teenagers during the school holidays. Have fun, meet new friends and work towards Royal Yachting Association (RYA) qualifications.
Sailing weeks can also be used to fulfil the the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Residential.
Voyagers participate in every aspect of life onboard, under full instruction from our professional sailing staff learning about navigation, helming, cooking, making sail, weighing anchor... part of the ship, part of the crew!
Group
sailing adventures
Voyages for groups of young people, from schools and youth organisations are available from March to October.
Group voyages can be tailored perfectly to your groups’ needs and we have extensive experience of working with a diverse range of young people with specific educational, physical and behavioural needs.
Our Staff are highly trained in youth work, making a weeks voyage, a safe, challenging and exhilarating, personal achievement.
Gaining RYA Qualifications
We are an RYA Recognised Training Establishment. We offer a range of RYA Sailing courses both on and off the water from Start Yachting to Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory.
A week sailing onboard one of our vessels can be enough to gain and RYA Certificate, part of an internationally recognised vocational training scheme; This can lead to Professional Sailing Qualifications as a Yacht Skipper, 1st Mate, Cook or Deck Hand.
The STI Tall Ships’ Races
The ultimate action adventure for those between 15 and 25, the races are designed to encourage international friendship. Held annually in European waters, with 100s of miles of ocean racing, days of parties, team sports, cultural visits and parades The Tall Ships’ Races are the most incredible youth event in the world.
